Oral History Workshop

Alexander Turnbull Library Outreach Services offer workshops for people considering using oral history in their work, community or personal projects. The training is based on the principles enshrined in the National Oral History Association of New Zealand (NOHANZ)’s Code of Ethical and Technical Practice, and international archival standards.

This two-day workshop will be taught by Megan Hutching, oral historian, and Lynette Shum, Oral History Advisor. All equipment is provided and all participants receive comprehensive guides and resources and a certificate of attendance.

Day 1: Introduction to Oral History
Thursday, 5 August from 8.45am–4.30pm

Day 2: Recording Seriously
Thursday, 2 September from 8.45am–4.30pm

Cost: $300 per person for both days
