My interest in family history began with a fourth form project in school. I remember gathering up a whole heap of notes and scraps of paper my father had, and cobbling together a family tree of sorts from all the information.
Since then, genealogy has had to take a back seat to study, work, and bringing up three kids, but in 2016 I completed the Higher Certificate in Genealogy with the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies (IHGS), and was accepted as an Associate of the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (UK). In 2018 I studied with the University of Oxford and was awarded their Advanced Diploma in Local History (with Merit), and I’ve recently completed the Diploma in Genealogy with IHGS.
If you think our families are connected, please contact me. I am more than happy to share any information, documents and photographs I have that may help in your research. And I’m very keen to discover any new relatives, however distant!
