Happy 100th Birthday, Nanna!

My Nanna would have been 100 years old today.

She was born Myrtle Jean Louisa McGonnell on 4th April 1915 in Lepperton, Taranaki, daughter of George Tunnecliffe McGonnell and Naomi Myrtle Florey, and died almost 96 years later, on 2nd February 2011 in Paraparaumu.

    MICHAEL MCGONNELL WAS MY GREAT GREAT UNCLE AND HIS FATHER EDWARD MAGONNELL FROM MONEYDARRAGHMORE DIED 24 DEC 1870. HIS SISTER MY GREAT GREAT GRANDMOTHER WAS MARY MCGONNELL (MAGONNELL)

        Hello Maggie. I had better introduce myself. I am John Redmond and my grandmother was Rose Galbraith the daughter of Mary Galbraith, Mary Galbraith was present at his death. I don’t know of any family in Ireland but Rose came to Glasgow Scotland around 1901. She had a large family and there are a lot of decedants in Scotland and England. As a child I remember seeing a post card from new which was sent to my father. I was only about 6 years of age. Unfortunately it got lost.

    Should read Mary was present at her fathers death (Edward McGonnell) . I am on Ancestry UK and through them they have identified a 3rd cousin in Taranaki called Susan Dravitzki. Is she related to you.
