    Were you Power ancestors from up Hawkes Bay way? I know someone who is somehow related to Powers from up Dannevirke way- it might be her maiden name but not sure..

      Thanks for your comment, KiwiNomad! Bridget married in Charleston on the West Coast, so was an O’Rourke by the time they moved to Napier, but several descendents have the surname Power as a middle name. I still haven’t found which ship Bridget emigrated on, and if she was travelling with any other family members. Be wonderful to find some related Powers!
